ABOUT US

Nusantara Bersih is a student-led initiative dedicated to improving hygiene access across Indonesia through sustainable cleaning kits and Lerak-inspired cleaning solutions.

We believe that hygiene should not be a privilege, but a basic necessity. Through our work, we aim to support cleaner and healthier living in under-resourced communities while promoting more environmentally responsible ways of cleaning. By combining local Indonesian resources, scientific research, and community outreach, Nusantara Bersih hopes to make everyday hygiene more accessible, practical, and sustainable.

WHAT OUR NAME MEANS

The name Nusantara Bersih comes from two words: “Nusantara”, referring to the Indonesian archipelago, and “Bersih”, meaning clean.

Together, the name represents our hope for a cleaner Indonesia. It reflects our commitment to supporting communities across the country through hygiene access, sustainable cleaning solutions, and a deeper appreciation for local Indonesian resources such as Lerak.

For us, “Nusantara Bersih” is more than just a name. It is a reminder that cleanliness, health, and environmental care should be shared across all communities.

Hi! I’m Serafina and I will be majoring in either pharmaceutical science or biological sciences.
